Teams

Entering a team is a great way to get friends, family and work colleagues together, not only for a great day out but also to 'pedal for a purpose' and show your support for people with MS.

In 2009 we had a record number of teams sign up with 790 teams registered to ride. Let's see if we can beat that record in 2010. Signing up your team is easy!

Create your own online team web page now to make it easier to organise and manage your team.

Not only is there competition amongst teams on the fundraising leader board in the lead up to the ride but on the day teams compete for top honours in the Rider Sportswear Teams Challenge to see who will be the best and the boldest!

Remember teams only need to have one or more members and there is no cost to create a team - each member simply pays their own entry fee!

Never organised a team before? Call us! We will send out information, come out for a visit or put you in touch with one of our many past and present team captains who are more than happy to help other teams raise money and support people with MS.

Did you enter a team in 2009? Contact us for a list of your team members and sponsors. We can also find your team photo from 2009 to upload onto your team web page.

Steps to organising a team

Part of a company team? Click here to see how your company can support you!

1. Create a team

To create your team, the team captain must register themselves as an individual first before they can create the team. If your team captain is not riding but is managing the team please contact us on
1300 733 690 and we can organise the online team page.

2. Ask others to Join the team

Send out an email, stick up posters at your workplace or simply ask your friends to join you on their bikes to get team members on board. Each team member has to register themselves individually for the event . This is a safety issue as every rider must be made aware of terms and conditions.

3. Start Fundraising

Once you have registered it is time to start fundraising! Set a team goal and organise all your team members to be actively involved in achieving that goal. Ask friends, family and colleagues to donate towards the whole team or hold a special event which involves all team members contributing to make it a success. Keep team members up to date on how the team are going and who is raising the most from the team - a little friendly competition goes a long way!

4. Ride on the day

Ride the Gong on the 7th of November with your team! Don't forget all team captains will receive a free team photo. Round up your team on the day to the team photos area at each start site. We will have a team sign waiting for you and will then send (and email) the photo out to you after the event.

For any team enquiries or assistance, contact Monique or Sarsha on 1300 733 690 or email events@msaustralia.org.au and we will be able to assist you every step of the way!
