Collect Donations
Collecting cash/cheque donations in person is a great way to communicate with your sponsors face-to-face, talk about the Gong Ride event, and also about what motivates you to support people
with MS.
We will provide you with a sponsorship receipt book upon request. This allows you to issue your sponsors with a tax-deductible receipt for each donation.
Keep your receipt book with you at all times. You never know when someone may wish to donate! Sponsors might choose to give you a flat donation or to donate per kilometre that you ride.
We can send you a Fundraising Kit with an ID card, tally sheet, information about MS and further fundraising tips and ideas. Display the tally sheet at work and your co-workers can pledge to support you and your ride. Whether you receive a donation or a pledge in person, you can still enter this on your fundraising web page to ensure all your sponsors get the credit they deserve.
How to request a fundraisers kit
Simply request a Fundraising Kit when you enter online or just contact us on 1300 733 690 or email events@mssociety.com.au and we will send one out immediately.
Banking your money
The last page of the receipt book is a deposit slip. Use the slip to bank all your money in any Westpac Bank (only the money that corresponds to the receipts in that book) and send the book(s) back to us. All books (used or unused) must be returned to MS Australia as required by law.
